Final report Aqua-therm Nitra 2008
A jubilee year and the biggest fair till now
Exhibitors and visitors to AQUA-THERM Nitra came in record numbers for this year's jubilee tenth annual event. Compared with last year, the number of direct exhibitors grew by more than 30% to a record 150 firms, and 14.632 visitors made their way to the modernised Agrokomplex exhibition ground. This year the fair was held for the first time in three exhibition halls, where firms from five states came together.

By virtue of the interest of exhibitors and visitors, AQUA-THERM Nitra this year definitively confirmed its position as the largest and most significant event focussing on the area of technical equipment of buildings in Slovakia. It gave visitors from the ranks of the general public the opportunity to see and compare in one place new items and trends in saving of water, light, gas and electricity, and it allowed professionals to make contacts with key firms in the field.

This year, the Czech Ambassador to Slovakia, Mr Vladimír Galuška, visited AQUA-THERM Nitra with a retinue. In the centre of the picture he is in the middle with František Kočí, director of Progres Partners Advertising (left) and Ladislav Švihel, Chief Executive Officer of the exhibition ground Agrokomplex Nitra. The mayor of the city of Nitra and the chairman of the district council also came to the trade fair.

The accompanying programme of the trade fair called Low Energy Days, focussing on new items in the area of energy saving, aroused exceptional interest amongst the visitors. Several hundred viewers passed through the lecture hall.
Awarded exhibits
This year 15 registered exhibits from 13 exhibitors fought it out for the AQUA-THERM gold medals and certificates of merit, prestigious awards granted by a professional commission. In the end gold medals went to the condensation modular boiler ecoCraft exklusive VKK 1606/2−E−HL of the company Vaillant and the vacuum tube solar collector Apricus−AP20, which was entered by the firm NETsytems from Nitra. This year the AQUA-THERM certificates of merit went to the companies Stiebel Eltron (heat pump earth−water WPC Cool), Protherm (suspended gas condensation boiler Lev) and Regulus (copper−aluminium hot water radiator).
